Will ASSIST process criminal offence data?

ASSIST may process information relating to criminal offences or allegations if this information is contained within a recording submitted by the customer.

The DPA identifies criminal records, allegations and information relevant to civil or legal disputes within the categories of personal data that may be processed.

The customer must determine whether its processing of criminal offence data is lawful and identify the relevant UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 requirements.
