What is de-identified data?
De-identified data is data that has been changed so it no longer identifies an individual.
When Wyser uses data to improve the service, it first creates a de-identified dataset. This means direct identifiers are removed before that data is used for purposes set out in the data processing agreement (DPA), including product improvement, training and testing. Wyser does not use identifiable customer data to train the model.
This is separate from the live service records used to deliver ASSIST. Audio files are kept only for the minimum time needed for processing and for no more than 48 business hours. Transcripts and summaries are retained for the agreed period and for no more than 30 days.
